Stay on track with your goals at Free Friday Fitness at the Windsor Community Center

The Windsor Community Recreation Center hosts Free Friday Fitness from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. the first Friday of each month at 250 11th St.

The event will allow community members to participate in a fitness class, swim in the pools, soak in the hot tub, use the basketball courts and weight room, and participate in any fitness activity offered with a regular membership.

“In 2021, we ran a similar promotion called ‘Friday Fitness,'” said Kendra Martin, operations and facilities manager for Windsor’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture. “We waived the $5 daily fee every Friday and saw an incredible response from the community with nearly 550 participants.”

The center offers a variety of membership programs, including annual memberships for a family of four starting at $600, monthly adult memberships starting at $36 per person, or a 20-visit punch card starting at $72. Daily admission to the facility costs between $3 and $5 per person.

Veterans, teachers, and seniors 62 and older enjoy reduced rates.

“Our prices are among the lowest in Windsor and our neighboring communities with access to a clean gym and top-notch service for all fitness levels,” Martin said. “We pride ourselves on offering more than budget pricing. We offer a family and community center focused on the needs of our members.

The center is open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

The center offers a variety of resistance training classes, spin classes, open lane swimming, body pump and yoga classes, as well as access to personal trainers and fitness equipment.
